Big Day At Bathurst
Apr 24, 2013
ANZAC days sees the Gentle stable heading to Bathurst with a nice team of horses. Brian has found in the past that travelling his horses to the country tracks to be a major tool in maturing and developing them into better horses.
In race two the Bathurst Real Estate Maiden Plate 1100m we see the possible return of Destiny Rising and Feathered a 3 year-old filly out of oaks winner Northwood Plume.
Race three the Inland Technology Maiden 1400m see the new addition to the stable in Kesari head to the races again after a good effort first up for Brian.
Race four the Lithgow Furniture Benchmark 60 2000m sees Carnegie Hall tackle the 2000m for the first time in her career.
When asked about the horses chances for the meeting Brian said
" Destiny Rising will be scratched and saved for a harder maiden at Canterbury in a couple of week."
"Feathered will be scratched from the 1400m in preference to the 1100m this week, she was disappointing at her first start and she has trialled since with the blinkers on, I am looking for her to run a better race this time around. She is still immature and needs some more time to develop, but we will try her at 1400m next start."
"Kesari has come on since her first up effort and this looks an ideal race for her."
"Carnegie Hall goes to the 2000m for the first time in her career, I am expecting her to run well if she can see the distance out, but she will be better for the run over the ground this week.
